Kool Hertz

DJ/Producer/Musician – UK/SA

Kool Hertz started rocking crowds over 14 years ago in the Cape Town , Jo’burg & UK scene. He’s spun next to artist’s like Cut La Roc[Rocstar], Ali B[Fabric/Kiss FM], Eddy Tm[XFM], Diesel Boy, Counterstrike[Algorythm], Pimpsoul, Stickybuds, Dj Wood, Country Cockney, Jurassik, Dj Soo & The Funk Hunters to name a few. On the radio he has had some airplay on Kiss FM[UK], NSB[UK], RTE Pulse[Dublin], Good Hope FM[CPT], 5FM[CPT] & has also been reviewed in Dj Mag & NME.

Last year saw him touring Poland & Canada. This year he has plans for some more globe trotting TBA. Besides the Breaks & DJing, he creates epic albums of all sorts of genres for Music Candy. His tunes are distributed worldwide by companies like EMI, BMG & Universal Music for play on MTV, BBC, NBC etc.

Things are continually blowing up for Kool Hertz. 2010 has had him writing & remixing tunes for Funkweapons, Air Recordings, Break Down Records, Royal Soul Records & new labels TBA in the year. With releases currently out on iTunes & Juno. Look him up.

Kool Hertz’s tracks & bootlegs get support from the likes of Fort Knox Five, Ali B, All Good Funk Alliance, A-Skillz & other DJ/Producers from the four corners.

Rysty

Ryan Chenery aka Rysty – plays a mix of breakbeat, dirty house, hip-hop, funk, and whatever you don’t know you wanna hear. He’s been kicking around London for ages, at some of his nights Get Busy, DirtyGroove, My Tune Is Too Big, and by invitation at clubs such as Turnmills, Egg, Inigo, Koko, Brixton Academy and others. His knack for serving up dynamic and animated party style sets, iced with scratching, acapellas and cheeky touches, has earned him a reputation as a DJ to keep tabs on.
He won the 2005 Breakfish London DJ Competition, and one of his career highlights have been the 2 consecutive appearances at the open air festival “the Gathering” 2001 & 2002, in Golden Bay, New Zealand, billed with acts such as John Digweed & Way Out West.
He’s played alongside acts such as Atomic Hoolgan, Jon Carter, King Roc, Soul of Man, Groove Allegiance, Mike Monday, Eddie Haliwell, billed at events with Carl Cox and Roger Sanchez, has hosted radio on Smoke FM London, and guested on House FM London and 95bFM Auckland.
